Mission
Our mission is to increase access to clean energy for low-income households across Africa that don’t have access to electrical grid. We’re passionate about our work and are committed to making sure that everyone has access to clean, reliable and affordable energy.
Backgrpuns
According to African Development Bank, up to 645 million Africans do not have access to electricity. In the Sub Sahara region, 80% of the rural areas do not have access to clean energy source. Eg. At 2%, Liberia has the lowest electricity access rates in the world. In Monrovia's capital city, only 7% are connected to the national grid.
Similarly, in Guinea, According to a World Bank report, a population of 12.3 million. Only 33.5% of people have access to electricity, with 8 million or more low-income families living in rural areas receiving the most minor service.
This lack of energy access hinders education, healthcare, and economic development opportunities and forces households to rely on expensive, dangerous, and environmentally harmful lighting alternatives such as kerosene lamps and candles.
Sustainable lightining option for rural communities
Nur+ improves energy access in rural communities in Guinea by providing affordable and sustainable renewable lighting options. We distribute solar panels and Pico solar lamps to households without access to electricity. These lamps are small, portable, and can be recharged using solar power, making them an ideal solution for households off the grid. The solar panel can be used to power houses, and create cold storage rooms for small scale farmers
Cold Storage Room
The cold storage room project is in progress. We support small-scale farmers with a 20 feet container cold storage room power by sustainable, and affordable renewable energy solar panels.
